I’m obsessed with beautiful things and figuring out why they are. I search for answers to that question through writing¹ and in my creative practice: I create furniture and objects in wood using traditional and modern woodworking methods.
We’re in a moment in technological history where the stuff we surround ourselves with is made more marvelously than it ever could have been in the past, yet we’re deeply dissatisfied with the quality. Some say we don’t know how to make things like we used to. Through my work, I would like to show you that we can make things well, make them beautiful, make them to become worn with care, to be repaired, to last.
